What happens during workspace onboarding?

TL;DR: First-time Builders and Owners see an in-product onboarding wizard: name your workspace, answer a few setup questions, and pick a recommended first automation. Onboarding then sends you to Home with a starter prompt so Ask Ballet can begin planning your first playbook.

Who this is for

Builders and Owners signing in for the first time. Members skip builder onboarding and land directly in Member Mode.

What steps does onboarding include?

The builder onboarding wizard typically covers:

  1. Workspace name — set your team's workspace identity.
  2. Company context — company size and your role.
  3. Business unit — where automations will live in your org.
  4. First automation — pick a recommended workflow to start with.

What happens after onboarding?

Onboarding sends you to Home with a starter prompt pre-filled. Ask Ballet begins planning or building your first playbook based on your selection. This is your activation moment — getting from signup to a working automation as fast as possible.

Do Members see onboarding?

No. Members are invited to run playbooks, not build them. They skip the builder wizard and see a simplified sidebar focused on New chat and Playbooks.

Can I change my workspace settings later?

Yes. Go to Settings → General to update your workspace name, theme, chat font, and Builder/Member Mode toggle.
