How does usage and billing work?

1min read

TL;DR: Workspace Owners manage plans, credits, and billing in Settings → Usage & Billing. AI usage through Ballet Models counts against your monthly allowance. Design partners receive locked-in pricing during early access. Upgrade to Pro or Team plans for higher limits and pooled team allowances.

Who this is for

Workspace Owners managing plans and monitoring AI usage.

Where do I view usage?

Go to Settings → Usage & Billing. You'll see:

  • Current plan (Pro, Team, etc.)
  • AI usage and credits consumed
  • Monthly allowance and remaining balance
  • Seat count for team plans

How is AI usage measured?

AI requests from Ask Ballet, agents, and AI-powered steps consume credits based on model usage. Usage through Ballet Models is tracked automatically. Bring-your-own-provider usage depends on your external billing.

What plans are available?

Ballet offers tiered plans with different seat counts and monthly AI allowances. Design partners in early access receive design-partner pricing locked in before general availability.

How do I upgrade or manage billing?

Owners upgrade plans and manage payment methods in Settings → Usage & Billing. Billing is handled through Stripe.

What happens when credits run out?

AI features may be limited when your allowance is exhausted. Owners can upgrade the plan or add credits depending on available options.
